How to Deal with the New Normal

Understanding the universe means accepting change.

As 2020 is still in its infancy, we all have a long way to go.

We have a path ahead of us that is now even more uncertain than before. And we have an evolving threat standing on our path, forcing us to adapt, to alter our course and change along with the rest of the world.

But you must remember, especially during this time, that your path was never certain to begin with. Nobody’s path ever is.

Because everything is at the mercy of change — the only constant in the universe.

So, why do we resist it so?

People are resilient to change. You are and so am I.

You’d think we’d have figured it out by now. Throughout time, change has been the only consistent aspect of human life — of all life. By this logic, adaptability to change should be a part of our basic evolution. Yet, people still despise change and how it affects nearly all parts of their lives.

We hate to alter the course, to change the trajectory. We despise being forced to change, because of change. We resist the onset of it entirely, because…
